as a Legion member, Sons member, or Auxiliary member

are automatically a member of our riders chapter

The American Legion,

The Sons of The American Legion, or

The American Legion Auxiliary and get

your membership started today.

 

Just fill out an application and sent it, along with a photo copy of your DD-214 (for Legion membership), and a check for the appropriate amount:

 

American Legion Riders = $45 per year

American Legion Auxiliary = $30 per year

Sons of The American Legion = $30 per year

Membership Eligibility Date Requirements

April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918 (World War I)
December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946 (World War II)
June 25, 1950 to January 31, 1955 (Korean War)
February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975 (Vietnam War)
August 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984 (Lebanon/Grenada)
December 20, 1989 to January 31, 1990 (Panama)
August 2, 1990 to today (Gulf War/War On Terrorism)

American Legion Membership Eligibility:

If you are on active duty today, serving honorably, anywhere in the world, or have served honorably during any eligible war eras, you can become a member of The American Legion!

American Legion Auxiliary Membership Eligibility:

A woman who is eligible for membership in The American Legion is also eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary.

The mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-daughter, great-grand-daughter, or grandmother of members of The American Legion, and deceased veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during the listed war eras.

Step relatives are also eligible.

Sons Of The American Legion Membership Eligibility:

 

All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who died in the service during World War I, World War II, and Korean War, the Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, and the Persian Gulf War, during the delimiting periods (see above dates) or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge from such service, shall be eligible for membership in the Sons Of The American Legion.
